Week 1 Recap

Dublin Spartans got the League underway on Sunday the 13th of February 2022 with a 7-1 defeat of their B team. This was followed by Ashbourne Titans 15-14 victory over Ashbourne Giants. Reference: [1]

Week 2 Recap

Dublin Hurricanes went top of the Standings with an 8-6 defeat of Ashbourne Titans, while Ashbourne Giants joined Dublin Spartans 4-1 to join the Spartans and Titans on 1-1, 0.5 Games behind leaders Hurricanes. Dublin Spartans B were a further 0.5 back on 0-1. Reference: [1]

Week 3 Recap

Dublin Hurricanes continued on winning ways with a 13-7 defeat of Dublin Spartans B, moving the Hurricanes to 2-0 in the Standings, while Ashbourne Titans joined them on two wins with a 4-2 win versus Dublin Spartans A team, dropping the Spartans A to 1-2. Reference: [1]

Week 4 Recap

Dublin Hurricanes suffered their first defeat, 0-3 to Ashbourne Giants, which put the two teams level on both points and runs for/against. Ashbourne Titans went top with a 5-4 defeat of Dublin Spartans B. With Hurricanes meeting Spartans A and Giants meeting Spartans B in the Final week, Giants must go into the final series as favourites. Reference: [1]

Week 5 Recap

Dublin Hurricanes won the Live Pitching Cage League 2022 title on Head-to-Head versus Ashbourne Titans after defeating Dublin Spartans A 4-2 in the final week, and the Giants surprise 9-6 loss to Dublin Spartans B, meaning the Hurricanes and Titans finished on 3-1 with Ashbourne Giants taking bronze on 2-2. Hurricanes defeated Ashbourne Titans 8-6 in week 2 to take the head-to-head tie-breaker. Reference: [1]

About the Baseball Ireland Live Pitching Cage League

Utilising Live Pitching and Video System which could tell where hits went in a real Baseball Field in the new Irish Baseball Indoor Training Centre in Finglas, Dublin, the Baseball Ireland Live Pitching Cage League continued the Irish Baseball Preseason in February and March 2022.
