Report

Munster’s Limerick Originals won the Championship in 2010, beating Oddsox Green of Dublin (Leinster) 5-0 in the Final [2] . From then on Leinster teams dominated, with Dodder Dynamoes defeating Batpak (both Dublin) 17-7 in 2011 [3] , and Oddsox Green making up for the 2010 loss by beating fellow Southside Dubliners Kiely’s Kegs in the 2012 Final [4].

Kegs won the title in 2013 beat Belfast Brawlers [5; 13] , and in 2014 Oddsox Green won their second National Championship, defeating Belfast Brawlers 18-7. In 2015 TNT (a.k.a. The New Team) also from Dublin defeated Belfast Sliders (Ulster) 19-9 [6] .

From then on the SINCC was a straight final between the Leinster and Ulster winners as the Munster League had ceased. Dodder Dynamoes won the title for the second time in 2016 [7][8] and in 2017 Belfast Brawlers were defeated for the second year in a row – TNT picked up their second title, winning 26-3 [9].

Dodder Dynamoes won the next two National Championships – 30-9 against Belfast Brawlers in 2018, and then again the following year against the same opposition 17-5.

About

The Softball Ireland National Club Championship has been played since 2010 between the winners of the Leinster Softball League (Eastern Province) and Ulster Softball League (Northern Province). It at one time was a three-team tournament involving the winners of the then-operating Munster Softball League (Southern Province).

The winners of the SINCC have the right to represent Ireland in the European Super Cup – the bi-annual European Cup for the winners of the National Coed Slowpitch Leagues of Europe.
