League: Women's Colleges and Universities National Futsal Cup Finals

Dublin City University vs IT Sligo

With both teams undefeated and drawing their previous encounter it set up the prospect of a thrilling Final in what was a showcase Tournament for the rising talent of Ireland’s female Futsal players.

Rachel Graham’s snap shot gave DCU the lead after 3 minutes and captain Becky Walsh made it 2-0 two minutes later with a brilliant low strike. Excellent work by Aileen Gilroy set up a snap shot for Deirdre Doherty as IT Sligo hit right back on the 7th minute.

Sligo battled hard after the break for an equaliser but were eventually caught on the break as Cliodhna McHugh made it 3-1 after good set-up play by Amy Ryan.
